The challenge of this kitchen was to combine the tastes of husband and wife and convey it to the builder, who had intended to build a classic Shaker style kitchen. The couple both had their own ideas of what the kitchen should look like; he wanted ornate details and dark wood; she liked a more casual look and bright colors, particularly blue. We found granite that combined the blue and brown, and then created a kitchen design that employed classic details and traditional English elements.
