2007

BDA attended the Cornerstone Awards for the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of NH on June 14th, 2007. A Gold award was received by BDA for the Best Website. A Gold award was won for the Model Home Under $250,000. Bunker Estates, located in Derry, NH, is a 1,100 square foot garden style condominium. It was designed with a mid-tome color palette, lighter wood and natural textures in accessories. Whittemore Estates, located in Londonderry, NH, won the Gold award for Model Home Over $250,000. Natural cherry and warm rich colors bring a current look to the unit. The generous use of black and white make it easy to insert a variety of colors for accents.

BDA recently opened a retail Home Studio to better serve their clients needs and offer the public a unique and personable experience for shopping for items of the home.

In April of 2007, Sue, Kelly, Marcia and Jessica traveled to Washington DC for the International Window Coverings Expo. Classes about green design, business seminars and product presentations were attended by all. The exhibition hall had many new window treatment fabrics, trims and hardware that we have added to our library.

2005

In early June, 2005, Sue, Kelly and Marcia traveled to McConnellsville, New York for a tour of the Harden Furniture manufacturing facility. Along with other dealers and designers, we were graciously hosted by Harden and given a tour of their plant, which employs about 500 people, producing casegoods and upholstered furniture. Harden also has a large showroom, where a large selection of their products are on display. The showroom is open to the public, and Harden is happy to give a tour of their factory as well to clients with an appointent. Their lines are shown on their website, www.harden.com.

2004

In late fall of 2004, BDA moved their office from the main building at 30 South Main Street to the adjacent carriage house behind the building. We had previously crammed huge amounts of resource catalogues and samples, computers, and furniture plus four employees into 850 square feet. We now have two levels, almost tripling our square footage to 2165 square feet.

The new space, pictured on this page, features a wider range of product samples, a large library for our constantly growing catalogue collection, two fabric areas, more meeting space, and individual offices. So far we’ve gotten a great response from our clients!
